1) The dollar is not in decline – it is the strongest currency in the world!
2) Monetary inflation is almost non-existent, not growing exponentially
3) Although you and your cohorts think that foreign nations should be worried about our debt levels, the opposite is happening – foreign countries and others are fighting each other to loan money to America (buy our bonds) because the US government is one of the safest investments in the world (at least in the eyes of people who make their living through investing)
4) Your “mathematical certainty” about default is simply false – it is neither mathematically nor economically even likely, let alone certain
5) The idea that there is something called “real money” (presumably that backed by metal, probably gold) and “fake money” is pure nonsense – money of any kind has no intrinsic value, it only has value as an exchange medium, and then only to the extent agreed upon by the users of that exchange
6) Following up on my point #5, there is not enough gold in the world to “back up” all the money needed to keep the worldwide economy working – and if there were, gold would become a worthless commodity because there would be far more of it around than could be used in any practical manner

There can be, and are, legitimate questions about whether our debt level is currently too high, and whether or not we are moving too rapidly in increasing our debt, and whether or not the Federal Reserve is currently making the right decisions for our economy, and when and how to reduce our annual deficits (through either tax increases or spending cuts or some combination), but your “chicken-little-the-sky-is-falling” outlook does more to harm than to help us address the real issues.
What you "know" is roughly akin to what those who predicted the end of the world based on the Mayan Calendar "knew." It is false knowledge. I know there is a strain in the human condition which likes to believe in catastrophic events coming in the future that they can somehow "foretell" -- but look at the track record of such predictions! If you can show me that the past predictions of your economic gurus have actually come to pass -- rather than saying "believe me, they WILL happen" or doing some after-the-fact hypothesizing as to why they happened -- then you might have a little more credibility. As for "why not default right now" -- you obviously miss the point: the U.S. government doesn't have to pay off the debt, and it doesn't have to default to avoid paying off the debt. It can keep the debt in perpetuity as long as it pays the interest on it, and as long as people somewhere continue to believe it to be a good investment. People -- and other governments -- buy U.S. securities NOT so they can be repaid, but so they can earn the interest.

300 million, 313 million, 320 million + This is the total population and was never meant to all be covered through ObamaCare. It furthers no ones claim of failure. It is just ignorant and ridiculous and useless.
Most were already insured, most through employers, medicare. The numbers that were UNINSURED were more like 35-40 million. This is the hole that ObamaCare has tried to put a dent in.
7 million was original target to get the program started and it has been met, despite the naysayers, outright liars and the extreme wealthy that do not like it for reasons I cannot fathom. Expansion of medicaid picks up several million more of that 35-40 million. It would have picked up even more if red states hadn't opted out. I haven't seen recent numbers on that. 3 million youth that were able to stay on their parents plans was another hit against the uninsured number. More signups in the next few years are expected to continue to decrease that total uninsured number.
This is major progress, but sadly, there still remains a gap where some people are falling , between medicaid and obamacare, of those still not covered. President Obama acknowledges that gap still needs to be addressed, even today in his speech. But because that gap exists is no reason not to start lifechanging improvements in care for many.
It really is up to us now. We have to elect senators and represenatives who are willing to actually work on solving the rest of the issues in a practical, pragmatic way -
Kentucky is really a good example to look at on the expansion of medicaid. Expanding it was questioned hard. People here tend to be quite fiscally conservative, which is also why we probably fared better than a lot of states through this recession. We were in better shape financially when it hit. More like Montana, also fiscally conservative with a democratic governor.
But our governor was smart and hired a firm to do a real analysis of the numbers by expanding medicaid or not. They came back with the conclusion that we could not afford not to expand medicaid, because the costs to the state were going to be far less than the benefits. The cash stimulus alone to our economy is large. It is also expected to create 17,000 jobs over the next 10 years. 17000 jobs is large in our state of smaller population figures. Plus we now have over 350,000+ more people insured. This is a state of historically poor health outcomes and the benefits should be immense. Benefits to the people which carry over to other things besides health care.
we've got short memories. various policies have always been cancelled by companies every year - long before ObamaCare- as insurance companies evaluated and adjusted. Did ObamaCare ever claim to stop insurance companies from changing policies around. Not to my knowledge. Their promise was that the policies meet certain standards.

Those people making $10-15/hour are likely to see wage increases too, and so on up the ladder. Who pays for these increased wages? Corporations. You mean the corporations who are making record profits? Yup those same corporations and 1%-ers who have absconded with all of the GDP gains over the last 30 years (i.e. since Reagan cut taxes on the wealthy) while wages for the Middle Class have completely stagnated.

I don't care where our President and First Lady came from, I still love and support them!!!! I have met them personally, when I worked for their campaign in 2012. I can tell by they way they acted and talked, they love America!!!! And, I think our First Lady is hott, pretty lady! No way she is a man. If she was, I would not have leered at her when I met her!!!! BTW, our First Lady works out in the gym almost every day. She lifts weights, aerobics, etc, that keeps her looking so pretty!!!!!

President Obama needs to somehow enact gun controls on his own!! There was another gun attack that killed at least one of our nation's children!!!! This time a gun killed one girl in Washington State. Our government is there to protect its people! It can do so by limiting the guns, and ammo availability to the average American citizen!!!
Latest polls show that the vast majority of Americans support raising the minimum wage! Some economists say that it will increase worker moral, and will help the economy. So, I ask, why are the republicans in congress anxiously passing this bill?? Do republicans hate our President so much, they would willingly destroy our economy??
Obama needs to somehow increase the minimum wage by way of Executive Order, which is part of why we elected him!!!! Also, our nations undocumented immigrants should be given full citizenship!!!! Obama is the first president in decades who openly does things that will strengthen the middle class!!!! Some how, some way, Obama needs to stay on as America's leader past 2016, or get someone in that will carry on, doing what Obama has been doing for America the past 6 years!!!!! After all that America has gone through the past 10 or so years, I do NOT understand why anyone would even consider voting "Republican"!!!! The bush/republican White House almost destroyed the economy, sent all the good jobs over seas!!!! Now, we have a Democrat President, who is perfectly willing, and able to turn things around!
